It was so good to get home today and enjoy some time away from work. I was able to enjoy some time at the pool with my wife, read a book on C.S. Lewis, George Whitefield, and George Herbert, sit under the oaks, maples, and pines, enjoy a home-cooked meal, see my boy come home from work and have to look up to him (because he’s taller than I), and of course, play with my dogs.

When outside, I felt someone or something watching me. I finally saw him. He had seen me long before I saw him. A young buck was browsing behind the house.

Lady was keeping watch over me to make sure we were safe. She’s such a killer.

I was able to reel you in a qt bag of the boiled ones. Going to keep them cold until I see you. The weekend has been fabulous since both our children were here with four of our grands. The only missing person was our son-in-law who is on call this weekend. He works with DEFAC in Jasper. We have hired a family to do our Saturday evening meal and tonight was wonderful with fried chicken, squash casserole, green beans, collards, fantastic potato salad and cornbread. They will have eggs, grits, bacon, sausage, biscuits, water melon and cantaloupe before we head home. Hope to sleep in my bed tomorrow night. I love you brother and hate that I won’t be able to hear your lesson tomorrow.

Your description is surely of heaven, Mr. Henry! Thank you for that.
Grateful to hear your good report. We’ll hold down the fort for you but will miss both of you today.
Be careful coming back, and I look forward to seeing you both and getting my fingers on that bag of boiled of peanuts:-)
Love you guys.
